Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes experiences its worldwide premiere this April at the Museum of Pop Culture in the heart of Seattle Center. The new exhibit packs a punch, celebrating 80 years of superheroes from the beloved Marvel collection, with over 300 original artifacts on display. From the inception of these powerful players to modern day movie-making- escape into the world of your favorite crime-stoppers including Black Panther, Spiderman, Captain America and more!
Opening weekend is April 21st and 22nd and will feature many super-sized activities for every Marvel fan. With extended hours from 10am-7pm, guests can get a selfie with a superhero, create (using fun art supplies) their current superpower to solve an issue in the community, and DIY their very own superhero costume!
One of the most interesting and unique aspects of the exhibit is to see how your favorite characters have changed over the years. Changes have taken place not just in design, but in how the heroes “relate to real-world issues like gender, race, and mental illness.” Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes takes a deeper dive into the cultural issues facing these great fighters for justice.
