There’s no place like home at the Seattle Home Show

Feb 04, 2020

Find thousands of ideas to turn your house into the home of your dreams at the 2020 Seattle Home Show. The spring edition of this bi-annual show (the fall show is held in October) returns to CenturyLink Field Event Center from February 15th through the 23rd. A “housing extravaganza”, the Seattle Home Show is the Northwest’s largest consumer home show, and features the latest trends from builders and remodelers for your home both inside and out- including appliances, fixtures, decor and landscaping.  This year’s theme is “Spring inot Action”, and you will find everything you need to create, build, or remodel your home floor to ceiling and beyond.

Since 1939, the family-owned event has been growing in popularity and size. Originally designed in an effort to bring the troops “back to work” after the Great Depression, the event has stayed in the family, now put on by the 4th generation.  Stroll through the displays, hear from the experts, and learn the tricks of the trade at one of the many home improvement seminars.  There will be live cooking demos, antique appraisals. Visitors are encouraged to take a break to enjoy live music offered in the indoor living area, and stop refreshments served at the beer and wine garden.

Things to Know:

  • Children under 7 are always free, so bring the family. There’s even a Kid Zone featuring a live butterfly feeding and a Kuriosity planetarium.
  • Buy your tickets online. Purchase e-tickets, and you’ll receive a voucher for $5 parking at CenturyLink Field Event Center.
  • New to this year is the Art Battle- a tournament of live painting! Get details here.
  • There is so much to do and see! If you can’t fit it all in in your initial visit, take advantage of the show’s “too much to see- come back for free” policy. This allows show visitors to register to return for a second day of the show for free with ID.
