The weather outside may be frightful… but at Seattle Center, the holidays are sooo delightful. Winterfest returns this year with plenty of magic for kids of every age. From sparkling lights to festive entertainment, the holiday spirit is alive this winter at Seattle Center’s Winterfest.
November 29th through December 31st enjoy a variety of free, fun-filled, festive, family-friendly activities at Seattle Center. Winterfest will take you out of the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping and lengthy to-do lists, and remind you of what the season is all about spending quality time with the ones you love, enjoying the magic of the season.
Here are just some of the ways you can enjoy Winterfest:
Winterfest Ice Rink: A chilling thrill, the Winterfest Ice Rink is a fun way to be active and create a new family tradition. This rink is perfect for all ages with skate rentals available, plus $2 off admission if you bring your own skates. Open November 29th through January 5th. Get details here.
Winter Train & Village: A fun exhibit featuring a turn-of-the-century train and village at the Armory South Court. This Winterfest favorite, gives you a chance to control the train! A $2 donation is suggested. Click here to see times.
Professional Entertainment: It would not be a celebration without plenty of professional entertainment. From SANCA Circus Circus to the USA Jump Rope Team, a Drag Queen Ice Show to the Seattle Girls’ Choir- there is truly something for everyone. Ice Sculpting: Beginning November 30th and running every Saturday through December don’t miss award-winning artists creating seasonal ice sculptures outside of Fisher Pavilion. Viewing is completely free.
Campus Luminata: Stroll the Seattle Center and take in thousands of twinkling lights. The festival comes to a fantastic finale with the fireworks show at the Space Needle, and a New Years Eve light show at the fountain. Get there early to reserve your spot. Admission: Free.
