Now through January 1st, you can experience the magic of the holidays brought to life at the Sheraton Grand Seattle Gingerbread Village- where local architects, chefs from the Sheraton Grand Seattle, and “elfs” bring magical creations to life using gingerbread, icing, and candy. Since 1992, this holiday showcase has been supporting the Greater Northwest Chapter of the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation, while mesmerizing visitors with the incredible talent and imagination it takes to create these gingerbread masterpieces.
Last year’s Gingerbread village with a “Whoville” theme brought in over 200,000 visitors and donations that helped bring the grand total of money raised to $1 million. This year, the “Elf Life” theme will show glimpses into the lives of Santa’s busiest helpers.
Each year the Sheraton Grand Seattle donates over 8,000 volunteer hours and thousands of pounds of dough, icing and candyr! While the event is free to the public, donations are appreciated. There are three ways to donate:
