If you’re over 21, what’s better on a hot summer day than an ice cold beer? Well, whether you’re passionate for pilsners, particular about your pales, or all about the amber- you’ll find it all at Seattle International Beerfest. July 12th through the 14th “brew-thusiasts” will gather to taste the best our region has to offer along with beers from all over the world. From the classic to the exotic, new-world hybrids like barrel-aged hoppy farmhouse sours to a more classic IPA- there is something for every palate.
At Seattle International Beerfest guests will have the opportunity to taste over 300 beers (we definitely don’t recommend trying them all- just find your favorites!). Bring your blanket and spread out on the lawn in the sun or in the shade at Seattle Center’s Fisher Lawn and Pavilion. Check out the complete list of beers here.
Tickets come in two different tiers- both include a commemorative glass and a wristband for re-entry all weekend. Choose from regular entry (10 tickets) or the big deal (30 tickets). Not a drinker? No worries- come along, enjoy the fun and drive your friends home! The Seattle International Beerfest offers a $5 non-drinker ticket. Buy your tickets here.
● Leave the kids at home. This festival is not child friendly, but pets are welcome!
● You are drinking for a cause. The festival is put on by Pet Cross, an organization that plays “Animal Santa” to a local animal welfare group that they feel is making a difference in the Seattle area. This year, they are supporting the Community Cat Coalition.
● The fest offers some truly “special features” including the Pilsner Urquell Mercedes 3-Way Pour Van, “Real Ale” from Machine House Brewery, Giant Bottles at the blue tent, and a Guinness infusion! Check out the details here.
● Interested in volunteering? Not only will you be helping out “beer-tending” but you’ll be paid in beer tickets so that you can enjoy the festival and the beer as well! Check out all of the details on volunteering here.
