Sink Your Teeth into Summer at The Bite of Seattle

Jul 01, 2019

Seattle’s Original (and largest) food and beverage festival is back- as Albert Lee Appliance’s Bite of Seattle offers something to tempt every tastebuds. What began as a “small” crowd of 75,000 at the first Bite of Seattle in 1982, has multiplied to 375,000 hungry guests sampling over 60 restaurants, live entertainment, craft beer and cider tastings and much much more! In fact, just this year Alan (Big Al) Silverman the CFO of this award-winning festival, was inducted into the Washington Festival and Events Association’s Hall of Fame! The 2019 Bite of Seattle promises to be an incredible celebration of some of the most fabulous fare our great city has to offer.  This year’s Bite takes place July 19-21 at Seattle Center and is a celebration of over 37 years of “food and fun.”

Here are some of our favorite bites at the Bite:

The Alley: The Alley returns this year to delight once more. A six-course “multi-bite” experience, the Alley showcases local restaurants for a great cause! Head to the Fisher Rooftop and purchase a $20 ticket that includes a plate of six large bites and a bottled water. All proceeds  will go directly to Food Lifeline. This year’s lineup features Dingfelder’s Delicatessen, Alcove Dining Room, Phorale, the Tin Lizzie Lounge, Super Six and Snoqualmie Ice Cream. Check out the menu here.

Live Music: If you’re a live music fan, look no further. The Bite features over 70 live bands from all over the state. Some of the highlights include Northwest Chill, Left Turn on Blue, Pseudotramp, The Spin Offs, and many more. Get the entire line-up here.

The Bite Cooks!: Let the competition begin! The Bite Cooks! features local chefs, battles and cooking demos all weekend long.  Hosted by Chef Thierry Rautreau the “Chef in the Hat,”

The Bite Cooks! offers mystery ingredient cook-offs for the title of The Bite Cooks! Master, delicious demonstrations of some of our region’s chefs’ favorite dishes and excitement galore! Get the line-up here.

Beer Gardens: This one needs little explaining...The Bite’s beer gardens are a great place to hang out and enjoy great local brews, craft spirits, and summery wines. From Alaskan Ale to Diamond Knot Blonde and Elk Rider Vodka and Cranberry to a crisp glass of House Wine Rose, you will be refreshed at The Bite. Check out all of the offerings here.

Munchies at the Mural: This new area at the Bite is a fantastic place to enjoy select specialty food vendors offering very unique and fun culinary experiences. Try Dragon’s Breath liquid nitrogen dessert, munch on foot long fries or enjoy a cotton candy animal all in The Mural Area between the Armory and Pacific Science Center. Free Bite Movie Night: Don’t miss Free Bite Movie Night, Friday, July 19th from 8:30-10:30pm. Head to the Mural Lawn Stage for a free showing of Wayne’s World! Spread out your blanket, stake out your spot and (if you’re 21+) you can enjoy a cool beer during the movie.

Admission to the Bite is free- so you can spend your hard-earned dollars enjoying the plethora of delicious fare the Bite has to offer.  Don’t forget to hashtag all of your pictures #MeetMeAtTheBite and get all of the delicious details here.
