Since 1950, this non-profit festival has hosted unparalleled marine events (enhancing Seattle’s reputation as a boating hotspot, supported local community events across the region, and encouraged Seattleites and tourists alike to enjoy the summer sunshine and local fare! From the land to the sky- we’ve mapped out a few of our favorite events to master each Seafair block party, parade and event!

The Seafair Pirates sail in from conquering the Seven Seas, and kick off a day full of summer celebrations, including kids’ rides and pirate look-a-like contest. While pirates are unpredictable folk, the Seafair Pirates are said to be hitting the beach at 1:30 P.M.
Whether you march, float or dance in celebration of Seattle’s solstice, the Alaska Airlines Seafair Torchlight Parade has a little something for everyone. Now in it’s 68th year, the Torchlight parade invites guests to explore exhibit booths, indulge in food and drinks from local food trucks, and preview the many floats that will hit the streets at 7:30pm lighting up the Seattle streets. This is a free event, with optional VIP seating available for purchase.

Seafair visitors agree:
“I LOVE Seafair… Seafair is an annual event that my whole family looks forward to. From the minute we hear the Blues flying, to seeing them flying in the skies we are giddy! We have picnics on Fridays, practice day down at Mt. Baker Park on the West shore of Lake Washington. Today we went to tour the USS Bunker Hill on the waterfront.” – Susan W., Yelp
“Five stars for the free Blue Angels show on I-90 (assuming you arrive early enough to find street parking or pay a nearby resident to park in their driveway). It can take awhile to get off the island, but it's totally worth it. Bring lawn chairs and some water.” – Julian H., Yelp
