Have you ever known one of those people who can create things out of the most unexpected items? They may have a pile of kitchen utensils, and suddenly it’s turned into a spacecraft. You give them some nuts and bolts and now they’ve built a robot. Empty paper towel rolls and you’ve got a skyscraper. These are the kinds of folks showing off their creations at Seattle’s Mini Maker Faire. Now in its seventh year, Seattle Mini Maker Faire offers tech enthusiasts, crafters, homesteaders, scientists, garage tinkerers, and commercial makers of all ages and backgrounds a platform to share their passion projects. The self- proclaimed “Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth”- the Maker Faire takes creativity to its highest level.
Join in the fun August 18th through the 19th at the Museum of Pop Culture. Enjoy live demos, blacksmithing, woodworking, flameworking and more! Inspired by Maker Media, this family friendly festival will bring out the kid in everyone! Touting itself as “part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new”- this one-of-a-kind expo will make your creativity soar.
