Looking for a family-friendly Halloween event that won’t spook the kids? Grab your mini monsters and your junior jack-o’-lanterns and head to Hilloween! The self-proclaimed “favorite kid-friendly Halloween event of Capitol Hill” returns this year Saturday, October 17th to Seattle Central College’s Mitchell Activity Center (at 1718 Broadway).
The funfest begins at noon with an indoor circus-themed kids carnival (a great option rain or shine) where your little ones can enjoy Halloween-themed activities including face painting, carnival games, and an inflatable obstacle course- along with live performances form The Reptile Man and Nate the Jester from America’s Got Talent!
At 3pm it’s time to take to the streets for the Halloween parade! Lead by Chaotic Noise Marching Corps marching band it’s a party on the Hill! Show off your costumes, bring your pets and wave at the spectators.
The day finishes off with trick-or-treating around the Capitol Hill neighborhood from 3 to 6pm. Participating retailers on Broadway, Pike and Pine will be handing out Halloween confections- just look for candy signs posted in the windows!
