Hippity Hoppin’ Easter Happenings in Seattle

Apr 03, 2019

Things are hoppin’ in Seattle this month in celebration of Easter, which falls on Sunday, April 21. Grab your Easter hat, your Easter basket, and a bag of carrots and head out to any of these fun events happening around the city:

Woodland Park Zoo: Bunny Bounce
Head to Woodland Park Zoo for the 18th annual Bunny Bounce, Saturday, April 20th from 9:30-3pm. The event features egg hunts for kids aged 1-8, fun crafts, and special Easter activities throughout the zoo. One of the highlights is watching the zoo animals receive THEIR Easter baskets. These specially crafted treats are lined with flowers, berries and other favorite snacks as a part of the zoo’s animal care program. This “safe” activity encourages the animals to perform natural animal behavior, and helps stimulate them mentally. Stop by the orangutans, lemurs, grizzlies and other animals as they nibble away on all of the Easter treats! All Bunny Bounce activities are included with zoo admission.

Argosy Cruises: Easter Afloat
This is the Easter Bunny’s favorite Pacific Northwest tradition. It’s all aboard Argosy’s cruiser for an Easter cruise to Blake Island.  Families will enjoy two Easter egg hunts on the island (5 and under and 6 and up), an appearance from the Easter Bunny, a delicious brunch, and Tillicum cultural activities including a totem pole tour, roasted fish demo and storytelling dance. Your family can also explore the trails of Blake Island before making the trip back to Seattle.

Hunts for the Hounds: Easter B’Egg Hunt at Camp Charlie
Who loves hunting for treats more than your favorite pooch? An hour drive out of Seattle, Camp Charlie in Duvall offers the area’s only puppy egg hunt! You won’t find chocolate inside these eggs- just pup treats that will turn Easter into your furry friend’s favorite holiday.  Join the fun Saturday, April 20 from 10:30am to 2pm. The event is free, but donations are encouraged to benefit homeless dogs and cats in our area.

For Adults Only: BunnyCon
Who says Easter is just for the kids? BunnyCon is a 21 and over bunny crawl through Seattle. Saturday, April 20 from noon to 2am hundreds will be hopping around the city hunting good hops! Purchase a wristband for admission to all venues, entertainment, and drink specials. Participants are encouraged to dress the part and bunny ears will be for sale at the event for just $5 a pair.
