When the sun goes down, the exploration continues at Pacific Science Center. From Happy Hours to virtual reality experimenting, IMAX feature films, and 21+ grown-up exclusive events- the “Curiosity Continues After Dark” series offers unique experiences after the museum’s normal working hours.  Here are just a few of the upcoming events to check out:   

Happy Hour

The last Friday of the month from 5:30 to 9:30pm enjoy happy hour at the Science Center (with no kids in sight!). This “Stay and Play” event gives visitors 21+ the opportunity to enjoy drinks while exploring the museum, play games and catch live science shows.   

Parents Night Out

Parents Night out is your chance to get a night out without the kids! These monthly drop-off events give parents the chance to get out - while their kids get the run of the museum! The event is for kids aged Kindergarten through 5th grade and dates and themes vary so check the website for updates

Brewology

One of the 21+ events offered throughout the year, Brewology takes place Friday, February 8th from 7 to 10 pm. The $50 ticket ($45 for museum members) will get guests unlimited tastes of some of the best loved local breweries, along with demos and other activities. Brewmasters will be on the scene to answer questions, and share their processes. The list of participating breweries is extensive and includes 20 Corners Brewing Co., Fremont Brewing, Elysian Brewing and more.  Check out the complete list and get your tickets here. 

Science in the City

Take a deeper dive into some of the most compelling and timely topics in science and technology in the Science in the City series. Designed with general audiences in mind, experts share their passion for science along with extras including IMAX documentary showings, planetarium demos and more. Upcoming events include Women in STEM, Global Access to Cancer Treatment and the Art of Healing. 

Laser Light Shows

Pacific Science Center’s Laser Dome has a show for every musical taste! From Cardi B, to ODESZA, to the newly launching Laser Jay-Z! These shows will rock you with a 10,000 watt sound system and lights that will immerse you body and soul. Check out the schedule here. 

Final Friday

Get real at the Final Friday Virtual Reality Open House the final Friday of each month from 6:30-10:30pm.  You can hang out at the Virutal Reality Bar, compete with friends in a “Beat Saber competition” and take part in other fun VR activities.
