The summer has come to a close, and that means kids are back in school! Whether you’ve been entertaining your own children or just been around a lot of kids home for the summer- you may be ready for a little kid-free time!
To that end, we have put together a list of four after hours events at some of our favorite Seattle attractions that are educational, fun and for the adults only!
This September, visitors to Woodland Park Zoo are invited to savor, sip and save wildlife at WildBites. September 6th from 5pm to 8:30pm, guests can enjoy delicious bites from some of Seattle’s most talented chefs, visit with the zoo’s wildest animals and it all benefits the Woodland Park Zoo and its conservation efforts. Check out the line-up and purchase tickets here.
On the evening of September 14th, adults 21 and over are invited to enjoy an intimate screening of Reel Dark: Bram Stoker’s Dracula at the JBL Theater at MoPOP. This screening is part of the Reel Dark film series and tickets can be purchased here.
Thursday, September 19th from 6:30pm to 9:30pm leave your adulting behind and head to Seattle Aquarium for From Dusk to Spawn, where adults 21 and over take over the aquarium and learn all about the fascinating fish who migrate from the open ocean across streams to spawn. While guests sip wine, they can enjoy the expertise of naturalists sharing what they’ve seen, watch a salmon dissection, learn about Orca conservation efforts and even catch an underwater diver show in the Underwater Dome. Discounts are available for aquarium members. Learn more and get tickets here.
A few times a year, Seattle’s Pacific Science Center closes its doors to the general public and kicks off a happy hour aimed at giving adults an evening to unwind. This fall on November 22nd from 6:30 to 8:30pm, don’t miss Innovation, a happy hour based around the themes of curiosity and mixing it up. Enjoy craft beer and wine and free reign of the Pacific Science Center for guests ages 21 and over. The November Happy Hour will feature games, art and science all based on the theme of innovation in the 21st century. Tickets are required.
